A small selection of reviews and notes from our partner publications and the international film press.
"Oslo has, almost without anyone noticing, become the most serious short film festival in the Nordics — possibly in Europe."
Sight & Sound · London · April 2026
"A festival that programmes like a magazine — quietly, with an eye on the long view, and with the patience to wait for the right film."
Cahiers du Cinéma · Paris · May 2026
"For a country of five million, Norway is having a remarkable festival decade. OSFF is the proof — and it is rapidly becoming a fixture for sales agents working in the short form."
Variety · Los Angeles · March 2026
"Den unge filmens viktigste norske scene."
Aftenposten · Oslo · May 2025
("The most important Norwegian stage for young cinema.")
"A small festival that punches very far above its weight, with one of the most carefully written jury citations you will read in a programme booklet anywhere."
Screen International · London · April 2025
"Norway's quiet answer to Clermont-Ferrand. The films are bolder, the booklet is longer, and the audience actually stays for the Q&A."
